Three natural isotopes of Radon are radioactive:
ACTINON is the radon-219 isotope with a half-life of 3.92 seconds, produced in the uranium-235 disintegration chain through ACTINIUM-227. THORON is the radon-220 isotope with a half-life of 51.5 seconds, that comes from the THORIUM-232 disintegration. RADON is the radon-222 isotope with a half-life of 3.82 days and arises from the disintegration of uranium-238 through RADIUM-226. |
